ENHANCED CIRCUITRY IN
KWIK-WEIGH ELECTRONIC PALLET TRUCK SCALE
ENSURES ACCURACY

Canoga park, CA -- The KWIK-WEIGH electronic pallet truck scale is now equipped with advanced, self-correcting circuitry which allows less than 2ppm/oF temperature stability to ensure high weighing accuracy even when operating in extreme temperatures.

The KWIK-WEIGH electronic pallet truck scale combines heavy-duty, rugged pallet truck construction with a microprocessor controlled, battery-operated scale. It eliminates the need to move heavy pallet loads to separate weighing stations. As pallets are loaded onto KWIK-WEIGH's platform, it instantly displays weight information on its 11-digit vacuum florescent display console in 1 lb. Increments up to 5,000 lbs (from .5 kg to 2500 kg). Accuracy is 0.1 percent. It has an internal resolution of 1 part in 750,000 and memory cells to hold accumulated values.

KWIK-WEIGH's new "watchdog" circuitry continuously monitors two temperature reference points and automatically recovers in the event of a malfunction. It includes automatic zero tracking and an optical RS232 output port.

KWIK-WEIGH is also available with a counting feature which reduces operating costs by shortening inventory counting time and increasing inventory accuracy. The KWIK-WEIGH can also reduce workers compensation claims which often results from the strain of moving heavy containers during physical inventory counts.

KWIK-WEIGH is used in plants throughout a broad spectrum of industies, including chemical manufacturers, tire manufacturers, electronic manufacturers and airlines. It is used in shipping, receiving, production, and the warehouse to reduce materials handling time, help increase productivity, and enhance controls over materials and inventory. In addition, the majority of plants using KWIK-WEIGH realize a return on investment in less than four months.

A stainless steel version of the pallet truck has been developed for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Agriculture processors, bakery goods suppliers and salad dressing manufacturers are currently using KWIK-WEIGH to more accurately weigh and to conveniently transport ingredients during the production process.

KWIK-WEIGH is easy to operate and does not require expensive fork lift operators. The counting feature on the KWIK-WEIGH console is also easy to use. The operator can either sample the weight of a known number of pieces or enter the weight of a piece on the keyboard console. To switch between counting and weighing modes, the operator simply presses the "Count/Weight" key.
